A bit about Gill...
"The natural world inspires me in so many ways to take up a pencil or brush and capture it on paper. Trees in particular, different species all with their own characteristics.
My favourite medium is watercolour and I prefer wash effects than tight detail, to create a mood and give an impression of colour, shape and texture.
I have had a passion for sketching and painting since childhood and am largely self taught. Most of my paintings started from sketches in the field which helps to capture the feel and depth of a landscape. I live in Little Paxton and am often seen out painting at Paxton Pits or RSPB The Lodge Sandy, where I volunteer."
